What is Restartwell?

Restarting our wellness journeys with love, empowerment, and connection.

Creating lasting wellbeing can be quite challenging.  Often we get caught up in the nitty gritty details of nutritional supplements, paying for expensive gyms and dietitions and lose focus on how to create a sustained sense of wellbeing.  But wellness should not end with your nutritionist visit or when your spin class is over.  We need to take the time to love and honor ourselves, and when we do, we find that wellness happens naturally.

Cobwebs, Hiccups and “Forks in the Road” all walked into Restartwell…

Even when we know that there is a path to lasting wellness that is right in front of us, it can be difficult to take that first step. I’ll be the first to admit that it can be quite dark, scary and full of cobwebs that are really challenging to discern.

That’s maybe where I can come in and help.  I can be that friend that happens to have a flashlight that can help you to see the cobwebs ahead of you. I can remind you that you can rip down the ones that are in your way, but also point out those cool ones with the amazing geometric patterns.  Most importantly, I can help you realize that in fact you have your own flashlight.

As talented as I am in thinking up metaphors, I’d actually very much prefer to listen, validate, love, and empower.  Staying well means and looks different for each person and hopefully can evolve throughout our lives.  In our wellness coaching sessions together, we can focus on eating well,  sticking with a fitness goal, or learning how to accept and love our bodies the way they are.  Using tools drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness, I can help you get started on attaining the insight and tools needed to make lasting changes in your life.

Even when you feel ready to move on from the one on one sessions, you are never alone. We are never meant to live and grow in isolation. Joining our Restartwell wellness community and contributing is a way to maintain lasting wellbeing.  Belonging and shaping your community is the true testament to how far you have come in your wellness journey and will empower you to continue your growth.

What are my qualifications? And who am I?

Hey! I am Talya. I studied pre- clinical medicine at Tel Aviv University, have a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior from Barnard College, Columbia University, am a certified life coach and have an absolute life long passion for self discovery, self growth, and wellness.

“I am not only the founder, but I am also a client.” I practice what I preach everyday of my life. I am someone who has been through a lot in life and realized that the way I was living my life was not working for me and desperately needed to change. In many ways I needed a complete overhaul in the way that I viewed myself. I needed to push the start button again. With the help of some incredible people who shined a flashlight on my life, I have learned how to love and empower myself. I want to teach you all the tools that have helped me so much along my path but even more importantly help you learn how to apply them to your own life.

Restartwell is about restarting our wellness paths with an emphasis on loving ourselves, empowering ourselves and working together towards a more lasting and fundamental sense of wellbeing in our lives.  I believe that living well and our path to self growth can be a roller coaster ride.  It can be scary but is also really exciting and gratifying. And it is definitely way more fun when we ride it together!
