Reconnect

You. Relationships. Community.

So you have worked on yourself, developed yourself and have achieved success with many of your goals. What to do now?

Maybe you should share your awesomeness with the rest of the world.  Just a suggestion. When we reach our own personal successes the journey to wellness does not end there. Sharing your struggles, who you are and your journey can not only help others with their own journeys but provides you with a greater ability to define who you actually are. Sometimes we do not understand the tremendous beings that we are until we are seen through another and they reflect back to us all that we are.

Seek out and develop relationships of mutuality. Cultivating relationships where people express appreciation and respect for each other’s gifts, struggles, and successes can be the most rewarding of experiences in life.

Seek out or find a community! While individual one on one relationships matter and are significant, it is also essential that we connect somehow with something larger than ourselves and our immediate circle of family and friends. We need to find areas and places in our worlds where our unique talents can find a home and make a difference in the lives of others. When we do, we often find that contributions to others offer even deeper significance and growth for ourselves.

While I do love Simon and Garfinkel’s song, “I am a rock, I am an Island,” just as much as the next person; we are social beings.  When we have developed a strong sense of self, we can begin to think about reconnecting and contributing our knowledge, experience and goals.  And no matter how strong we have become; we will always have our vulnerabilities and needs. Having the support of others, knowing that you are not alone in your struggle, and belonging to something larger than ourselves deepens us as human beings. It further strengthens us, and our resolve.  Sharing our knowledge and experience is essential to our own growth, learning, facing our challenges and taking on ever new challenges. When we work together there truly is no limit as to what we can accomplish.

Let’s Restartwell together!
